Website maintenance that someone actually looks at
Monthly website maintenance packages covering updates, backups, security and uptime, tested on staging before they reach your live site, and reviewed by a person rather than signed off by a script.

Websites rarely break dramatically. They decay. A plugin update nobody tested quietly breaks the contact form, an SSL certificate lapses on a Sunday, a backup runs for eight months and turns out never to have been restorable. Nobody notices until a customer does.
Our website maintenance services cover the upkeep that prevents that: updates tested on staging before they touch your live site, backups that are restored on a schedule rather than assumed, continuous security and uptime monitoring, and renewals handled. Every plan includes a person reviewing what changed, which is the part that catches a broken form before your customers find it.

Plans and pricing
Website maintenance plans are priced on what the site does rather than how many pages it has. A ten page brochure site carries a fraction of the risk of a five page store taking payments. Tiers are quoted in USD; UK engagements are quoted in GBP, and larger pieces of work are quoted separately at a fixed price rather than absorbed into a vague allowance.

What every plan covers
Website support and maintenance means different things depending on who is selling it. Website support services, website care plans, web maintenance packages: the labels are interchangeable, the products behind them are not. Here is what is covered on every tier, so you can compare like for like.
- Core, plugin and theme updates applied on staging and verified before they go live
- Daily off-site backups, with restores actually tested rather than assumed
- Security and malware monitoring, plus hardening of the usual attack surfaces
- Uptime monitoring with alerting, so an outage reaches us before it reaches your customers
- SSL certificate and domain renewals managed so nothing lapses quietly
- An itemised monthly report of the work carried out
Platforms we maintain
Website maintenance and support runs across every platform we build on, and WordPress maintenance and support is the majority of it, and our WordPress support services carry the most process because WordPress carries the most update risk. Every plugin is third-party code on someone else's release schedule, and the number of plugins predicts how much maintenance a site will need better than any other single factor.
- WordPress care plans and WordPress support packages, with staging-tested updates
- WooCommerce and e-commerce maintenance, with checkout tested after every update
- Webflow, Wix and Squarespace support, where the work shifts from patching to monitoring and changes
- Custom and headless builds, including Next.js
- Plugin audit at onboarding, because unused plugins are risk you are paying to maintain
Taking over a site we did not build
Most sites we maintain were built by someone else. We start with an audit rather than a plan, because promising to keep a site healthy on day one without looking inside it is not a promise anyone can honestly make.
- Audit first: update backlog, plugin and dependency risk, whether existing backups restore
- Remedial work, if any is needed, quoted separately at a fixed price
- Onboarding to staging so the first update cycle is safe
- Monthly plans with no long lock-in, and you keep code, content, backups and access throughout

What our website maintenance services include
Staging-tested updates
Core, plugin and theme updates applied to a staging copy and verified before they reach your live site. The update is rarely the problem. The interaction with everything else is.
Backups that restore
Daily off-site backups, with restores actually tested on a schedule. A backup nobody has restored is an assumption, and the moment you find out is the worst possible moment.
Security & malware monitoring
Scheduled malware scanning, unauthorised file-change detection and hardening of the obvious attack surfaces: login endpoints, stale dependencies, loosened permissions.
Uptime monitoring & alerting
Continuous uptime checks with alerting, so an outage is noticed by us rather than reported by one of your customers several hours later.
Renewals & housekeeping
SSL certificates and domains renewed on time, so the site never goes down for a reason that had nothing to do with the site itself.
An itemised monthly report
What was updated, what was tested, what the restore test returned, and what we changed, written to be read rather than to pad a deliverable.

Frequently asked questions
How much does website maintenance cost?
Our website maintenance plans are $149, $299 and $499 a month (USD), with UK engagements quoted in GBP. Across the wider market, monthly website maintenance packages run roughly $50–$100 for basic cover, $100–$250 mid-tier and $250–$500 or more for comprehensive plans; UK equivalents are about £25–£75 for a brochure site, £75–£150 for a business site and £150–£400 for e-commerce. Anything meaningfully below those bands is usually fully automated with no human review. That is a legitimate product, but a different one.
What is a website care plan?
A website care plan is a monthly arrangement covering the ongoing upkeep a live site needs: updates, backups, security patching, uptime monitoring and renewals. The name is used interchangeably with website maintenance plans and website support packages. What varies enormously between providers is whether a person reviews the result. That is the difference between catching a broken form and emailing you a report saying the update succeeded.
What is included in your monthly website maintenance packages?
Every tier includes core, plugin and theme updates applied on staging and verified before going live; daily off-site backups with scheduled restore tests; security and malware monitoring; uptime monitoring with alerting; SSL and domain renewals; and an itemised monthly report. Business and Commerce add content and development time, performance checks and a stated response time. What no tier includes is unlimited development. The allowance is written down rather than implied.
Do you offer WordPress care plans specifically?
Yes. WordPress maintenance plans are most of what we run. WordPress carries more update risk than hosted platforms because every plugin is third-party code that changes on someone else's schedule, and the number of plugins is the single biggest predictor of how much maintenance a site actually needs. That is why our WordPress support plans test updates on staging first: the update is rarely the problem, the interaction is.
Do you maintain WooCommerce and e-commerce sites?
Yes, on the Commerce tier. WooCommerce maintenance sits a tier above the equivalent brochure site across the whole market, and for good reason: a store has a checkout, and a checkout that breaks silently after an update costs money for every hour it stays broken. Commerce plans have payment and checkout flows tested after every update cycle rather than spot-checked, with more frequent backups.
Do I have to have built the site with you?
No. Most sites we maintain were built by someone else. We start with an audit rather than a plan, checking how far behind the updates are, what the plugin and dependency risk looks like, whether the existing backups actually restore, and whether anything is already compromised. If remedial work is needed before ongoing cover makes sense, we quote that separately at a fixed price instead of folding it into the monthly fee.
What platforms do you support besides WordPress?
Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and custom builds, at the same tiers. Hosted platforms need less update work because the platform handles its own patching, but they still need monitoring, backups, renewals, performance checks and someone to make the changes you need. The plan structure is the same; the balance of work inside it shifts.
How quickly do you respond when something breaks?
Business plans carry a one-business-day response commitment and Commerce plans carry priority response. Essentials has no stated SLA, which is the honest trade-off at that price rather than a promise we would quietly fail to keep. Uptime monitoring runs on every tier, so an outage is detected automatically regardless of which plan you are on.
Can I cancel, and do I keep everything?
Yes to both. Plans are monthly with no long lock-in, and code, content, backups and access are yours throughout. We will hand over cleanly to you or another provider whenever you ask. A care plan that depends on making you difficult to leave is not a care plan; it is a hostage arrangement.
Do I actually need website maintenance?
It depends honestly on what your site does. A small static site with no forms, logins, payments or plugins carries very little ongoing risk, and paying monthly for cover is buying insurance against something close to zero. As soon as a site has forms, integrations, logins or payments, it depends on software that changes underneath you whether or not you touch it, and at that point the risk is continuous. If your site is in the first category we will say so rather than sell you a plan.
